In recent years, he’s served as His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Probation before becoming Director General of the Families Group at the Department for Education in October 2023. Across these roles, he’s driven major justice reforms and led the Families First Partnership Programme, children’s social care reform and the most significant expansion of childcare for working families. On top of that, I’ve seen first-hand how committed Justin is to advocating for greater diversity and inclusion within the Civil Service - using his position to support and learn from underrepresented voices.
